The computer will ask you if you want to save the above file to your hard drive or install from its current location. Unless you want to keep the file in case you need to install it again, go ahead and choose "run" or, on some computers, "open".
  • If you have chosen "run", the file will download and the computer will start the exe file and give you directions on how to proceed.
  • If you have chosen "save", the computer will ask you where you want to save the file. Once downloaded you must double click on the file to start installing the program.

    The Installation Process

    (Skip this section if you are familiar with installing windows programs)
  • Hit next on the first screen.
  • Click on the "I accept" button and hit next on screen 2.
  • Hit next on screen 3.
  • Choose a location to save the file (I recommend leaving the default location) and hit next
  • Hit next on the next screen.
  • For easier accessabilty you may want to leave the option for "create a desktop icon" highlighted. unhighlight the rest of the buttons.
  • Hit install on the "ready to install" screen and the program will be ready within seconds.
  • unhighlight the "explore freerip community" and allow the installer to launch the program.


    Using the FreeRip mp3 software

    The free rip user interface allows you to convert mp3 files to .wav files in order for you to burn them onto a cd

  • Go to the file menu under "tools" and choose either "convert multiple, or single mp3's"
    (There is also a small icon with a white/red pyramid and a small green circle that does the same thing.)

  • To convert a single file, chose the appropriate option from the file menu and FreeRip will then ask you to select a file. click on the square with the three little dots to find the file you donwloaded from the sermon site.
  • in the "output format" section, change the encoding to "0-wav".
  • At the very bottom of that window, select an output destination by clicking on the small icon with the three little dots next to that field.
  • Choose a loctation to save your newly converted wav file.
  • Hit convert.

    Burn the file to a cd and you are ready to go.
